The BLR Tailboom Strake Kit is the most cost effective, multi-functional,
value added, modification ever developed for single rotor
helicopters (with enclosed tailbooms). BLR Tailboom Strakes are the culmination of
seven years of wind tunnel and flight test work by NASA/US Army
researchers during the late 1980's. BLR's strake design has been optimized
for: ease of installation, improvements to handling qualities,
performance improvements for climb & cruise flight, an increase in overall yaw control
safety margins, and all while providing operators reductions in direct operating
